Technology Summary

Nano-fibrillated cellulose (NFC), a bio-polymer, derives from all plants & some simple animals. Various Forms of Cellulose & Nano-cellulose Fabrication

Considerable overlap characterizes performance of recently identified cellulose forms, but that overlap does not extend to price-performance ratios.

While nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC) has not received the media attention that nano- crystalline cellulose (NCC) has, NFC has more to offer in immediate market terms, as well as long-term cost benefits. It can replace nearly all structural steel and aluminum, far stronger, environmentally friendly, completely renewable, and at a tiny fraction of the cost. NFC can produce structural elements of almost any size from micro-tools to skyscrapers. NCC cannot.
